Is permanent makeup painful?
It depends. To ensure that you are as comfortable as possible, pain management products will be used before and during your procedure. I'll also check in with you at regular intervals to make sure that you stay comfortable.
Is permanent makeup really permanent or semi-permanent?
Technically, there is no difference. It's often called semi-permanent as the pigments used are designed to fade and can even disappear over time. This is so you can change styles if desired when a touchup is needed. However, even if the treatment disappears completely, the skin has been permanently changed.
Am I a good candidate for permanent makeup?
While there are many factors that need to be considered, I find that very few people are not good candidates for these procedures. All possible outcomes will be discussed in detail so you can make an informed decision.
Is permanent makeup safe?
While there are always risks involved, they are minimized here as much as possible. I'm certified in all procedures, licensed, insured, and Health Canada approved. Personal protective equipment and single use disposable sterile tools are used. I'm also vaccinated against COVID-19 and Hepatitis A & B as per current recommendations.
Why do I need so many appointments?
While your consultation and initial appointment can be done together, it's not always preferred. Upcoming events, other procedures, and skin care products can have a bearing on when your procedure is best performed. A touch up appointment is to perfect your design, and your final appointment is to ensure everything is progressing as expected - and you'll get a free gift!
I have mature/compromised/sensitive skin. Is permanent makeup something that will work for me?
Your skin is unique, and everyone has different lifestyles and health issues. All these factors - and more - are discussed in detail and carefully considered as a first step during your consultation to ensure you get the best results possible.
